Widget Development and the Facebook Platform

I didn't really take Facebook as a development platform seriously until I saw this video of a conference of Facebook developers. All of the speakers had quickly monetized their apps and this is fast becoming the story of the Facebook platform. Asia already sees the internet mostly through mobile devices. It looks like widget development on platforms like iphone, gphone, and facebook, is the hot new area for getting your app to market with a very fast user uptake.
